This is a list of people who are researching their Dolloff ancestors. Those who would like to share family data and sources may then contact you.

You may also submit narratives in Text, RTF, Word and PDF formats which I'll upload to the site to be downloaded by visitors. Also small gedcoms will be accepted.

The purpose of this site is to maintain as much data on Dolloff families as possible or to link to the location where it exists. Participation in this project is free. All who are interested may submit data or use the data they find here at no cost. There are never any dues or fees required and there is nothing to join. There are no advertisements and there is nothing to purchase.

As far as I know most Dolloff descendants in the United States trace their ancestry back to Christian¹ Dolloff. You might descend from this line or from another line of Dolloffs in any country or you may not have found the progenitor of your line yet. All partial or complete Dolloff lines from any place are welcome here.

The following two generation descendancy chart of Christian¹ Dolloff comes from Dolloff Family Records compiled by Henrietta Dolloff Johnson 1936; The Ancestors of Samuel Dolloff Sr.; Christian Logardin Dolloff; and Dolloff Genealogy

Christian¹ Dolloff born about 1639 probably in England or Holland; died 18 August 1708 in Exeter, New Hampshire; married before 1667 Rachel Moulton; married 10 October 1674 Sarah Scammon.

The name Dolloff has been found in records with numerous spellings and mispellings. According to Henrietta Dolloff Johnson "It has been claimed by earlier searchers, as recorded by Ellen Hills many years ago..no authorities given...that the name is Dutch, that it was, according to tradition in her family, originally spelled 'Christian Logardin Dalhoof..pronounced..Logar'din Darl-oof'. So far as I have found, no records exist as to his origin, nor at what date he arrived in N.E. The first record at Exeter is the tax lists of Dover, in 1659."

I have also seen claims that he was Russian but I have not seen any proof.
