Welcome to the Town of Blue Hill. Settled 1762. Incorporated Feb. 2, 1789 the 62nd town. Part of Sedgewick annexed Feb. 5, 1831. Part set off to Penobscot Apr. 7, 1845. Principle settlements Blue Hill, East Blue Hill, South Blue Hill, Blue Hill Falls.

Major bodies of water include Blue Hill Bay, Blue Hill Harbor, Salt Pond, Toddy Pond, First, Second, Third and Fourth Ponds, and Billings Pond.

Blue Hill is bounded North by Surry ; East by Blue Hill Bay ; South by Brooklin and Sedgwick ; West by Penobscot.
