Welcome to the Town of Madison. Previous designations, 1R1 NPC EKR, Barnards Township No. 1, Barnardstown, Mile-and-a-Half Strip. Settled 1780. Incorporated March 7, 1804 the 150th town. Part set off to Norridgewock July 30, 1846. Principal settlements, Madison, East Madison.
